Pierre Turyan, Photographer in Paris

Following college education and a degree in movie making and photography, Pierre went into a training period as an assistant director @SFP (French TV Production) and on some feature films. He has worked as a director of photography on short movies and obtained an award for cinematography by CNC.

He has been taking pictures since 1971, but started in fashion photography in 1983. What he likes doing, which is reflected in his photographic style, is to create movie-like atmospheres in authentic settings. He consequently travels a lot, scouting to discover interesting and suitable locations according to the themes he is working on at any given time.

His photographic fields include beauty, landscape and reporting as well.

Where are some of your favourite places to shoot in Paris?

In Paris my favourite places are around the Place de la Concorde, the Louvre, Alexandre III bridge, and the Seine river bank near the Notre Dame.

Outside Paris I love to shoot in the Versailles castle and gardens.
