Laura says:
"Photography has always been a passion for me, and it has become a job through synchronicity. I started using photographs in my work as a psychotherapist , because I recognized the importance of the emotional and evocative power that photographs have.
After meeting a professional photographer who had worked for more than 20 years as a wedding photographer, I began to study with him . I worked with him for three years and then I started to work on my own. I love photographing people because I love capturing the emotions my subjects feel, and I know it is invaluable to have a shot to revisit our own emotions."
Laura speaks English and Italian.
Where are some of your favourite places to shoot in Florence?
I live in Florence , so I am familiar with many beautiful places where is possible to bring a couple to take photographs. I like to take pictures close to the most important monuments , as the "Old Bridge", "Piazza della Signoria", "Uffizi", or along the alleys characteristic of the City . I particularly like Piazzale Michelangelo, a huge roof terrace from which you see all Florence and the Church of San Miniato a Monte, where the sunsets are amazing.
Some words to best describe your style of photography?
From my early experiences as a photographer I have always used a photojournalistic style because is part of my way of being, first of all, and also because spontaneity can grab the emotions felt by the people. I don't like to intervene in the events, I carefully follow everything that happens in a natural way.
